EPI offers several variations of skimming equipment which include stationary, floating, and automatic skimmers.
Stationary
This style includes belt, chain & blade, bucket and contained disc skimmers. These units are used for the removal of entrainments such as oil, polyethylene,

polypropylene and other debris.
Float Mounted Skimmers
This style can range from small pontoon mounted skimmers (these can be individual or an array) up to large barge mounted devices. Flow rates range from 2-3 gallons per minute up to thousands of gallons per minute.
Floating Skimmer
The distinction between a Floating Skimmer and the above mentioned Float Mounted Skimmers, is that the floating skimmer is typically a smaller more flexible solution that can be relocated and reused with minimal effort. This self-contained unit can vary the quantity of oil removed by simply increasing or decreasing the discharge from an onshore pump. This allows adjustment from a cut of several inches up to a light sheen with minimal water. Flow rates range from 2-3 gallons per minute up to 1100 gallons per minute.
Floating Mount Skimmers are also available.
